Jon and Kim’s love of expereincing new adventures keeps them from staying still for long. In the past six years, they have lived in Texas, Japan and Greece.
Their teenage son, Sean, has embraced the travel bug and the love of experiencing different cultures.
We love sharing our adventures and lessons learned along the way. We have had some amazing adventures with so many more crazy ones planned for the future
Jon
Born in a small town in Mississippi, Jon grew up listening to his dad’s, a long-haul truck driver, adventures outside his little town. The desire for adventure and love of aircraft led Jon to join the Air Force after high school.
Jon has never been one to be complacent, reflected in his numerous careers while in the military and out. His careers expanded Security Forces, Recruiter, Instructor, Personnel, before retiring as a First Sergeant.
Many years into Jon’s Air Force career he met his wife, Kim. What started as friends and coworkers, quickly grew into a crazy adventurous marriage. However, it wasn’t until several years after Jon’s retirement when the real adventures began.
Jon loves learning, motorcycles, and challenging himself.
Kim
Born in Maryland, raised by parents that were both “Jack of All Trades” in their own right. From a young age, Kim had a desire to learn and try new things. Shortly after high school, Kim joined the Air Force and quickly inherited the title “Jack of All Trades”.
Kim loves learning new things and has dabbled in woodworking, various DIY projects, party planning and crafts. She homeschooled Sean and recently found her artistic skills shine through in oil painting.
With different personalities, Jon and Kim, are in sync when it comes to their desire to try new things. Their adventures really kicked into gear when their two oldest daughters, Kayla and Erica, left the nest and both married.
Sean
Born in Maryland but spent most of his youth in Texas, Sean is the youngest of three children.
Being homeschooled from first grade allowed for many adventures and opportunities and created a love of learning. The flexibility of homeschool gave them the opportunity to move to foreign countries, travel and explore different cultures.
Sean’s life goal is to continue traveling and experiencing the world. Sean plans to join the Air Force after a gap year of travel with his parents.
An adventurous foodie, he loves fine dining and trying new and unusual cuisines. As a child, Sean had a love of dressing up in costumes; that love of dressing up extended into his teen years as he dons a stylish wardrobe.
Sean is an old soul who loves reading, learning and experiencing new things, having debates on various topics, traveling, and music.
